- Research Field
- I am interested in teaching and researching in areas of accounting and finance. I have a master's degree in accounting, followed by two MBAs (finance and marketing) and a PhD in international finance. So, my research areas are vast, including corporate governance, earnings management, family firms, venture capital finance, crowdfunding, foreign direct investment, ESG disclosure, and socially responsible finance. I basically prefer econometric applications of business and financial data. My research covers Asian economies with a particular interest in Japan.
- Research Topic
- My present research areas are corporate governance of listed firms, earnings management, the performance of family firms, crowdfunding, foreign direct investment, ESG disclosure, and socially responsible finance. I apply econometric tools and techniques such as FMOLS, GMM, VEC, VAR, and ARDL models for data analysis. I also like to apply appropriate theories to connect and explain research findings and draft meaningful recommendations.
- Message to Prospective Students
- Success amid competition requires a combination of adaptability, resilience, a positive attitude, and continuous learning. I encourage students to gain a solid understanding of research methodologies and learn Python, data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. Also, stay updated with the latest trends in business research through journals, case studies, and academic conferences.
